We protect, support and empower vulnerable children, elderly people, women and people with disabilities by responding to hunger, poverty and essential needs, while creating opportunities for education, healthcare, skills development, livelihoods and sustainable development through charitable support, including Zakat and Sadaqah.
We envision a future where no vulnerable child, elderly person or person with a disability goes to bed hungry, and where every person can live with dignity, hope and opportunity.

Food & Nutrition
The Challenge for Food
Many vulnerable children, individuals, and families across Nigeria struggle to access regular and nutritious food because of poverty, unemployment, rising food costs, displacement, and other severe economic pressures.
The situation is especially concerning for young children. Some Almajiri children, including those reported to be between 5 and 15 years old, are sent away from their families to other towns or cities for Qur’anic education without reliable food support, while others are sent away because their families cannot provide enough food. Some become dependent on begging simply to eat.
The World Bank has reported that Almajiri children account for almost 1 in 4 Nigerian children aged 6–15 who are denied formal education, highlighting the wider vulnerability surrounding these children. In addition, 36.2 million Nigerians were projected to face acute food and nutrition insecurity during the 2026 lean season.
Widows, elderly people, persons with disabilities, low-income households, and other vulnerable individuals may also struggle to secure daily meals.
These conditions can lead to hunger, poor nutrition, exploitation, loss of dignity, and setbacks in health, education, and development.
